Role Description:

AGM Inc. is seeking a dedicated Network Admin for IT Department for a full-time, on-site role based at
our Mining Site in Guyana
. As a vital member of the AGM IT team, the Network Admin will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure, serving over 200 employees across the nation. This position will be the primary point of contact for employees encountering computer-related issues, offering technical support, troubleshooting, and assisting with desktop computer problems, as well as providing support for printers and computer repairs.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Job Location is Remote Mining Area, required to visit tunnel, open pit and other site locations.
  • Assist personnel with the installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of system hardware and software.
  • Provide daily operations and systems support to personnel.
  • Verify the functionality of hardware and software components.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in person, remotely, and via phone.
  • Assist employees with computer problems and answer their questions.
  • Conduct daily network backup operations.
  • Provide level 2 support to branch offices.
  • Offer IT support via telephone, email, remote desktop, and in-person.
  • Work on Helpdesk Tier 1, 2, and 3 tickets.
  • Participate as a member of IT project teams for network and system upgrades and other business initiatives.
  • Provide support for VHF radio infrastructure.

Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor Degree with relevant Education.
  • A minimum of two of the following certifications: MCITP, MCSE, CCNA, VMware Certified Professional, Network+ or Security+
    (CCNA is preferable)
    .

Experience:

  • Knowledge of telephone system/networks.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage stress effectively in high-pressure situations.
  • Understanding of IT principles and an ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to a varied audience.
  • Strong sense of discretion and confidentiality required.
  • Strong Windows administration skills.
  • Strong MS Office skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organization and time-management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer-oriented attitude.

Abilities:

  • Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, analyze, research, and develop solutions to problems through deductive reasoning.
  • Ability to lift computer equipment up to 15 lbs.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to self-motivate and take initiative.
