JOB DESCRIPTION

Designation: B1/B2 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer / Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME)

Department: Engineering & Maintenance

Reporting to: Shift In-Charge / Line Maintenance Manager

  • KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:

    AME / AME shall report to Shift In-Charge / Line Maintenance Manager and shall be

    Responsible for:
  • To carry out the inspection and certification of work within the scope of their Authorization.
  • To ensure that all work performed in connection with Maintenance are in accordance with the requirements / recommendations of the OEM. While carrying out the maintenance work wherever applicable, current approved schedule should be followed. It should also be

    ensured that approved methods, tooling, procedures and materials are used in carrying out the said work.
  • To ensure all worksheets, inspection schedules, logbooks maintenance records are properly completed and certified. The documents are to be maintained as required by the company procedure described in the respective part of the document.
  • To ensure that snags observed during inspections and those reported by the flight crew during the flight are rectified in an approved method. Major defects and rectifications will be promptly reported and dealt with.
  • To ensure that tools and equipment used during maintenance are in serviceable condition.
  • To ensure that only approved materials and parts are used and the approved spares have necessary documentation and certification before installation on the aircraft.
  • To ensure that while handling equipment(s), tools and carrying out any servicing of aircraft or components etc. necessary caution and safety procedures are to be followed.
  • Prior to undertaking certification works the AMEs must ensure that their AME license is current and valid, they have necessary skills to perform the work and have undergone necessary training(s) including continuation training in the preceding 24 months. In

    addition, wherever applicable, Avionics category AMEs shall be responsible to ensure that their R/T license is current and valid.
  • To ensure that all safety risks and security threats related issues are communicated to Management personnel for necessary corrective /preventive action.
  • Other duties as assigned by Shift In-charge / Station In-charge.

QUALIFICATIONS for B1 AME:

  1. Holding valid DGCA B1.1 AME License on ATR

  2. Minimum certifying experience of one year

  3. Current & valid authorization on ATR 72-600

  4. Meeting 6-24 months experience criteria on their logbook in the last two years.

QUALIFICATIONS for B2 AME:

  1. Holding valid DGCA B2 AME License on ATR
  2. Minimum certifying experience of one year
  3. Current & valid authorization on ATR 72-600
  4. Meeting 6-24 months experience criteria.

OTHER CONDITIONS: .

Position requires flight duty travel.

Position is shift-based.

Valid certifications to perform duties

Quality Manager approval mandatory before hire.

Pre-employment & Post-Employment Medical Examination

Random BA Test as per company policy.
