The Role We are seeking a dynamic and accomplished individual for the position of Associate Professor within the School of Computer Science and Engineering. This is a crucial academic role that requires a significant blend of teaching excellence, high-impact research, and emerging leadership.

Mandatory Responsibilities and Focus Areas

  • Deliver engaging and effective instruction for Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) programs.
  • Special emphasis on teaching and developing expertise in specific Computer Science and Engineering specialisations and core technical areas.

UG Programmes: B.Tech (Hons.), B.Sc (Hons.), BCA (Hons.)

PG Programmes: M.Tech (Hons.)

  • Actively pursue, conduct, and publish subject-specific research leading to recognized high-quality output.
  • Guide and supervise research work of Ph.D. scholars and Masters level students.
  • Take up administrative responsibilities and contribute to curriculum and course innovation.

Key Qualifications and Experience

The candidate must demonstrate substantial subject/technical expertise and a proven track record in teaching and research, meeting the highest regulatory standards.

  • Academic Background Mandatory Specification: Ph.D. degree in the relevant field (Computer Science/Engineering/Allied) is mandatory. First class or equivalent at either the Bachelor's or Master's level in the relevant branch.

  • Minimum Experience Mandatory Specification: Minimum of 8 years of experience in teaching/research/industry, out of which at least 2 years shall be Post Ph.D. experience. This experience must be in recognised universities or colleges or in a related industry/research setting.

  • Relevant Work Experience Mandatory Specification: Demonstrated and extensive relevant work experience as a faculty member (e.g., Assistant Professor) in recognised universities or colleges. Must show capability to lead research groups and mentor junior faculty.

  • Research Output Mandatory Specification: At least a total of 6 research publications in SCI journals / UGC / AICTE approved list of journals. Candidates must provide evidence of published work and scholarly activities.

Selection Criteria Candidates will be evaluated primarily on their technical expertise, substantial contributions to research, evidence of guiding research students, and potential for academic leadership.
