As we establish our marketing function from the ground up, we are seeking a
Senior Marketing Specialist
who will bring creativity, energy, and execution excellence to help us shape and elevate our brand in the financial services space.

Role Overview

This is a full time, in office role based in our Abu Dhabi HQ. The Senior Marketing Specialist will be a core member of Zelo's new marketing team, responsible for leading multiple marketing verticals including Performance Marketing, Social Media, and Communications Strategy.

This is a hands-on role that combines creativity with execution, working closely with Business, Product, and Technology teams to build impactful assets, run campaigns, and develop tools that support Zelo's growth and partnerships.

This is a unique opportunity to design and deliver a marketing function on a
blank slate
within a regulated financial services environment. The role demands a balance of Cross-Functional Collaborationstrategic thinking and tactical execution, making it ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth settings.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy & Campaigns:

• Plan, execute, and optimize performance marketing campaigns across digital platforms.
• Develop and manage Zelo's social media strategy, driving brand presence and engagement.
• Lead experimental campaigns tailored to the financial services and B2B financing ecosystem.

Content & Communications:

• Own the content calendar and ensure timely delivery of marketing initiatives.
• Create and manage assets (brochures, case studies, videos, social posts, etc.) to drive social visibility and community curation.
• Drive external communications and PR efforts to enhance Zelo's brand visibility.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Work alongside Business, Product, and Technology teams to translate offerings into compelling marketing assets.
• Develop strong agency collaborations and an in-house team across design & communications talent.
• Provide creative and strategic input to support business development and partnerships.
• Support senior leadership with investor- and partner-facing communication materials.

Analytics & Optimization:

• Track and report on campaign performance, using insights to optimize ROI.
• Stay updated on market trends and competitor activities to inform strategy.

Experience and Skills Sought

• You bring deep curiosity and an established AI tool & workflow stack to run workstreams.
• A minimum of 3–4 years of experience
  in marketing, ideally a mix of agency and in-house roles.
• Proven ability to run digital marketing and performance campaigns with measurable outcomes.
• Strong grasp of social media platforms, content marketing, and communications strategy.
• Experience in B2B or financial services marketing is highly desirable.
• Strong creative and copywriting skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for diverse audiences.
• Highly organized, self-driven, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in marketing tools (e.g., Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, HubSpot, Canva/Adobe Suite).

AI Proficiency & Emerging Tools:

• Deep familiarity with AI-driven marketing workflows, leveraging tools for content ideation, generation and campaign management
• Ability to build and manage structured workflows and libraries to accelerate execution.
• Comfort using AI tools across key marketing functions (Design, Content Creation, Strategy and Performance)

Freelancer and Outsourced Team Management:

• Proven ability to build and manage a network of freelancers across Paid Media, Social and Community Management, UGC Creators and Influencers, SEO / SEM Strategy & Execution as well as Design and Video production.
