Eligibility Note:

Only candidates with a minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial lines within the general insurance industry, specifically in broking channel management, will be considered.

Role Overview:

The Manager / Sr. Manager – Broking will be responsible for driving commercial lines business growth through the broking channel, with a focus on developing high-opportunity brokers and managing key broker relationships in the Pune region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage relationships with key and high-potential insurance brokers in the Pune region
  • Drive new business acquisition and renewals through effective broker engagement
  • Provide training and product orientation to new and existing brokers on general insurance offerings
  • Collaborate with the Underwriting team to prepare competitive proposals and close deals
  • Coordinate with Operations for timely and accurate policy issuance
  • Work closely with the Claims department to ensure smooth and fair claim settlement for customers
  • Track broker performance and identify opportunities for expansion and deeper engagement
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory compliance

What You Bring:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in general insurance, with a strong focus on commercial lines and broking channel
  • In-depth understanding of commercial insurance products (Property, Marine, Engineering, Liability, etc.)
  • Strong network of broker relationships in the Pune and West region market
  • Proven ability to manage large accounts and drive consistent business growth
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Postgraduate degree required; MBA preferred
  • High level of ownership, client servicing orientation, and cross-functional collaboration abilities
