We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior HVAC Design Engineer with a minimum of 8 years of experience in the fit-out industry, preferably similar background who handle multinational company (MNC)/Consultant design background. The successful candidate will be responsible for the complete HVAC design lifecycle for fit-out projects, from initial site assessment to project completion, ensuring adherence to all relevant codes, standards, and client requirements. Strong communication and coordination skills are essential, as this role requires collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Pre-Design Phase:
    • Conduct thorough due diligence reports on assigned sites, floors, and buildings.
    • Collaborate with the design and construction (DC) team and clients to gather detailed project requirements and specifications.
    • Develop accurate budget estimations and proposals for projects.
    • Prepare comprehensive design brief reports compliant with ASHRAE, ISHRAE, SMACNA, NBC, local norms, and Bureau of Indian Standards.
    • Calculate HVAC electrical loads.
    • Design Building Management Systems (BMS) including Input/Output (I/O) summaries.
  • Design & Development Phase:
    • Develop detailed HVAC designs, including heat load calculations and schematic diagrams.
    • Specialize in the design of critical rooms such as server rooms, battery rooms, UPS rooms, and hub rooms.
    • Prepare tender documents, including complete drawings and bills of quantities (BOQs).
    • Develop comprehensive technical specifications tailored to individual project needs.
    • Create construction documents for the project.
    • Issue General Fixture Cards (GFCs) for shop drawing preparation.
  • Project Execution & Coordination:
    • Collaborate effectively with vendors and contractors to ensure project execution aligns with specifications and timelines.
    • Provide technical support during the construction phase.
    • Monitor project progress and address any design-related issues that may arise.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
  • 8 years of experience in HVAC design specifically within the fit-out industry.
  • Proven experience working with multinational companies (MNCs) /Consultant background preferred.
  • Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, HAP, BIM etc.).
  • Thorough understanding of ASHRAE, ISHRAE, SMACNA, NBC, local norms, and Bureau of Indian Standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
