Job Overview

We are seeking an Accountant for an International School in Bangalore to join their team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial skills with up to 3 years of relevant work experience. The successful applicant will be instrumental in managing operational financial functions and ensuring regulatory compliance within our educational settings.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks/ tally / zoho for managing financial transactions and maintaining accurate ledgers.
  • Advanced skills in Excel to efficiently handle complex spreadsheets and financial data.
  • Strong budgeting capabilities to assist in managing educational financial plans and forecasting.
  • Knowledge of tax compliance to ensure adherence to governmental fiscal regulations.
  • Experience in financial reporting to prepare accurate reports on financial status and operational performances.
  • Skill in financial analysis (Mandatory skill) to evaluate profitability, margins, and potential risks.
  • Expertise in payroll management (Mandatory skill) to accurately process employees' salary and benefits.
  • Ability to manage accounts payable/receivable (Mandatory skill) ensuring prompt processing of invoices and payments.
  • Effective communication skills for engaging with parents regarding fee payments.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Assist in daily financial operations and ensure timely execution of accounting tasks.
  • Prepare financial statements and reports to contribute to strategic decision-making processes.
  • Execute the payment cycle for vendor invoices and manage receivables processes.

  • Oversee the preparation of budgets and monitor financial forecasts and variances.
