Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Turning Operator, located in Tiruvallur. The Turning Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating turning machines to produce precision parts. Daily responsibilities will include reading and understanding technical drawings, selecting appropriate tooling, performing machining operations, inspecting finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards, maintaining equipment, and adhering to safety guidelines. Collaboration with team members to meet production targets and deadlines will also be essential.

Qualifications

  • Experience in operating turning machines, including setting up tools and maintaining machinery
  • Proficiency in interpreting and working from technical drawings and blueprints
  • Ability to perform quality checks and inspections, ensuring adherence to specifications
  • Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and standards
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a manufacturing environment and meet production deadlines
  • Previous experience in a similar role or related manufacturing field is a plus
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training is an advantage
