Role Overview

We are looking for a dynamic Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive NetCom Learning's growth across Microsoft, Cisco, AWS, and Google Cloud ecosystems. This role is end-to-end — from prospecting vendor stakeholders, identifying opportunities, and nurturing relationships to closing deals that directly influence pipeline and revenue.

The BDM will act as the primary relationship broker with vendor decision makers, aligning NetCom's training and skilling solutions with their FY26 priorities. Success in this role requires a mix of strategic account management, consultative selling, and deep familiarity with vendor funding models (ECIF, CLC, MDF, vouchers, etc.).

Key Responsibilities (KRAs)

  • Prospecting & Pipeline Building

  • Identify, qualify, and engage vendor contacts (Partner Managers, BDMs, Channel Leads, Marketing Managers, Technical Specialists).

  • Leverage vendor account lists, winwires, and intelligence from the Research team.
  • Map 5–7 decision makers per vendor account and build engagement plans.
  • Vendor Relationship Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact with vendor stakeholders in Microsoft, Cisco, AWS, and Google Cloud.

  • Build trust-based relationships that lead to referrals, co-selling, and funded initiatives.
  • Attend vendor QBRs, summits, and events to strengthen alignment.
  • Opportunity Development & Closing

  • Drive the end-to-end sales cycle — from discovery proposal negotiation closure.

  • Align vendor funding (ECIF, CLC, MDF, vouchers) to support deals.
  • Collaborate with internal Sales Engineers and Product Managers to scope custom solutions.
  • Strategic Alignment

  • Translate vendor FY26 goals (e.g., Microsoft's 400K learner target, Cisco 360, AWS GenAI GTM, Google ATP upgrade) into actionable sales plays.

  • Execute joint account planning sessions with vendors to uncover whitespace opportunities.
  • Position NetCom as the preferred execution partner through proof points and case studies.
  • Collaboration & Reporting

  • Work closely with PDRs (meeting setters) to convert appointments into qualified opportunities.

  • Provide weekly forecasts and pipeline updates to leadership.
  • Document wins, challenges, and insights to continually improve strategy.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Meetings Progression: 30–40% of vendor meetings converted to qualified opportunities.
  • Pipeline Generation: $X million influenced pipeline per vendor per quarter (set by FY26 targets).
  • Revenue Contribution: Closed deals hitting annual quota (e.g., $3–5M influenced revenue per BDM).
  • Vendor Engagement: Minimum of 20 new vendor contacts per quarter across all 4 ecosystems.
  • Funding Utilization: 80%+ of available vendor funding (ECIF, MDF, CLC, vouchers) captured and deployed.
  • Account Coverage: Engagement with 100% of top-tier vendor accounts in assigned territory.
  • Velocity: Average deal cycle time reduced by 20% through strong vendor sponsorship.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, or related field. MBA preferred.
  • Experience: 7+ years in business development, alliances, or channel sales, preferably in IT services, training, or SaaS.
  • Vendor Expertise: Strong familiarity with Microsoft, Cisco, AWS, and Google Cloud ecosystems.
  • Skills:

  • Strong negotiation and closing skills
  • Understanding of vendor funding programs (ECIF, CLC, MDF, vouchers, etc.)
  • Excellent communication & executive presence
  • Tools: CRM (Salesforce/HubSpot), LinkedIn Sales Navigator, vendor portals, and AI-enabled sales intelligence tools.
