Job Purpose:

Responsible for driving sales growth and market penetration within the modern trade segment for the South & West region and Pan India eventually. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution to achieve business objectives across sales operations, commercial activities, and trade marketing.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Strategy and Execution:

  2. Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for modern trade channels to achieve revenue targets.

  3. Lead the identification of key accounts, negotiate agreements, and manage relationships with major retail chains.
  4. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to optimize sales strategies.

  5. Commercial and Trade Marketing:

  6. Drive promotional activities, trade marketing campaigns, and merchandising initiatives to increase brand visibility and sales volumes.

  7. Analyze sales data and market insights to develop pricing strategies and promotional offers.
  8. Collaborate with marketing teams to develop impactful marketing materials and POS displays for modern trade partners.

  9. Operational Excellence:

  10. Oversee all operational aspects related to modern trade sales, including forecasting, budgeting, and resource allocation.

  11. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  12. Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, supply chain, and finance teams to streamline operations and enhance customer satisfaction.

  13. Relationship Management:

  14. Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including retailers, distributors, and internal teams.

  15. Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings to enhance brand presence and business opportunities.

  16. Team Leadership and Development:

  17. Manage a team of modern trade executives and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

  18. Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to develop a high-performance sales team.
  19. Conduct regular performance reviews, set objectives, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
