Role & responsibilities :

  • Design & Development:

  • Develop primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging solutions that align with product requirements and brand identity.

  • Conduct feasibility studies and prototyping using CAD software and material samples.

  • Innovate new packaging designs to improve shelf appeal, user experience, functionality, Cost effectiveness, Packaging utilization and container/Vehicle utilization considering the business requirement and premises

  • Material Selection & Sourcing:

  • Evaluate and select appropriate packaging materials (paperboard, plastic, metal, etc.) based on product needs, budget, and environmental impact.

  • Liaise with packaging vendors and manufacturers to ensure material availability, compliance, and quality.

  • Testing & Compliance:

  • Conduct or oversee performance and safety testing (drop, compression, vibration, temperature, etc.) in accordance with relevant standards.

  • Ensure packaging complies with industry regulations, labeling laws, and sustainability standards.

  • Cost Optimization & Sustainability:

  • Drive cost reductions through packaging redesigns, material substitution, or process improvements.

  • Lead sustainability initiatives including packaging minimization, recyclability, and use of biodegradable or reusable materials.

  • Project Management:

  • Manage end-to-end packaging projects from concept through production.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including marketing, engineering, supply chain, and external vendors.
