Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Network Engineer with 34 years of hands-on experience in managing enterprise networks. The ideal candidate should be experienced in troubleshooting complex network issues, configuring and maintaining enterprise-grade equipment, and ensuring network stability, performance, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues escalated from desktop support teams.
  • Perform configuration, installation, and maintenance of routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
  • Monitor network health, bandwidth usage, and uptime using advanced monitoring tools.
  • Manage WLC, VLANs, and firewall rules for seamless connectivity and security.
  • Coordinate and support planned and emergency network change implementations.
  • Collaborate with ISPs and vendors for WAN issues and link configuration.
  • Maintain accurate network documentation including diagrams, IP addressing, and asset inventory.
  • Participate in network upgrades, patching, and hardware refresh projects.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Support backup internet connections and redundancy configurations.
  • Assist in high availability (HA) drills and business continuity testing.

Required Skills & Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP).
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and WLC controllers.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools like Wireshark, NetFlow, and similar.
  • Ability to create and follow detailed technical documentation.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (preferred).
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent) will be an added advantage.
