The Role:
This requirement is for a full time Finance and Accounts Manager. The role will report into the Financial Controller and to run the day-to-day accounts function. The requirements of the position cover all the major accounting disciplines of a fast-growing organisation, and the successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a top to bottom hands on approach. Responsibilities
- Preparation of financial accounts including group consolidation, Raising and posting journals, GL Maintenance, Maintenance of intercompany accounts.
- Preparation of monthly management accounts, maintenance and reporting against KPIs, tracking and reporting against budgets.
- Assist in the financial planning and analysis process, tracking KPIs, developing budgets and forecasts, and long-term financial models to support business objectives.
- Cash flow management: Reconciliation of all main bank accounts, Cash flow reporting.
- Prepare and review consolidated financial statements for a group, ensuring accurate elimination of intercompany transactions, alignment of accounting policies across subsidiaries, and compliance with relevant reporting standards (IFRS/GAAP).
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
- Handle Payroll Management, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and timely disbursement. (Knowledge in UK payroll taxes and compliance would be an advantage).
- Ensure accurate filing and compliance related to GST and TDS in India. (Knowledge in UK VAT and taxes would be an advantage).
- Support Transfer Pricing documentation and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to align financial strategies with operational goals.
- Mentor and guide finance teams in a dynamic environment to ensure process excellence and professional development.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Strong experience in finance and accounting, with a proven track record in financial analysis and strategic planning.
- Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Hands-on experience in preparing consolidated financial statements for a group.
- Proficiency in handling AP, AR, Payroll, GST, and TDS compliance.
- Strong stakeholder communication and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in financial modelling & analysis tools, including advanced Excel skills. Familiarity with financial softwares. Experience with data visualization tools to communicate financial insights effectively.
- Multi-currency reporting. Basic consolidation skills (the group is currently a UK holding company and an Indian subsidiary).
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Proactive and adaptable mindset, thriving in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
- A commitment to promoting a culture of integrity, transparency, and accountability.
Preferred:
- Advanced degree – CA or equivalent. The role would ideally suit a part or a full qualified accountant CA/CMA.
- Capable of working independently in a smaller, entrepreneurial organisation.
