Job Title: Pre-Sales Engineer / Technical Sales Specialist

Location: Sector 82, Mohali

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Presales Engineer to support our sales team by providing technical expertise, engaging with customers to understand their needs, and demonstrating how our products and solutions can address those needs. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge in IT infrastructure, Networking, Server, Storage, ELV systems, CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm Systems, BMS (Building Management Systems), and other related technologies, as well as the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Solution Design: Collaborate with the sales team to design customized solutions that leverage our products, services, and technology to address the client's requirement.
  • Customer Interaction: Engage with prospective customers to understand their business and technical requirements. Address technical queries and provide detailed product and solution presentations to demonstrate how our offerings can meet those needs.
  • Product Demonstrations & Presentations: Conduct compelling product demonstrations, showcasing the functionality and benefits of our solutions, including IT infrastructure, Networking, Server, Storage, CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm Systems, ELV, and BMS etc.
  • Technical Proposal Development: Assist in the creation of technical proposals, including solution architectures, technical documentation, and scope of work. Ensure the solutions meet the client's technical and operational requirements.
  • Proof of Concept (PoC): Work with clients to define and implement Proof of Concept (PoC) engagements that validate the effectiveness of proposed solutions.
  • Sales Support: Provide technical support to the sales team throughout the sales cycle, from qualification to closing, by addressing technical concerns, providing product insights, and ensuring the proposed solutions align with customer needs.
  • RFP/RFI Responses: Assist in preparing and responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs), ensuring the technical aspects are clear, concise, and aligned with client expectations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, product, and technical support teams to ensure seamless integration of customer requirements with product offerings.
  • Market & Product Knowledge: Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor solutions, and technological advancements to offer cutting-edge solutions to clients.
  • Post-Sales Handoff: Provide a smooth technical handoff to the implementation and support teams after the sale, ensuring customer expectations are met and technical requirements are fully understood.

Desired Traits:

  • Education: Desirable Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Engineering, or in related technical field but not limited to.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a technical or presales engineering role, with a focus on IT infrastructure, Networking, Server, Storage, ELV systems, CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm Systems, BMS, or similar technologies.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of the company's products and systems, including IT infrastructure, Networking, Server, Storage, Security Systems (CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm), and Building Management Systems (BMS).
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in a simple and clear manner for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Presentation Skills: Proven ability to present complex technical information effectively to customers, both in person and virtually.
  • Customer-Focused: Ability to build strong customer relationships and act as a trusted advisor during the sales process.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges efficiently.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work closely with sales teams, engineering teams, and customers to deliver the best solutions.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in the fields of IT infrastructure, security systems, or systems integration are a plus.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel for customer meetings, product demonstrations, and events as required.
  • Passionate about Technology: Strong enthusiasm for technology and a deep desire to solve customer problems by leveraging innovative solutions.
  • Self-Motivated and Detail-Oriented: Highly organized with excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently.
  • Proactive: Capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of productivity and accuracy.
  • Team Player: Demonstrates strong collaboration skills, working effectively with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, and product management, to achieve common goals.
