Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef who specializes in Chinese and South Indian cuisines to lead our culinary operations at Annachi Kitchen, a part of V G Panneerdas & Co. Pvt. Ltd. Injambakkam, Chennai – The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of both cuisines, strong leadership abilities, and a passion for maintaining exceptional food quality and kitchen efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily kitchen operations and manage the entire culinary team.
- Plan and design authentic Chinese and South Indian menus with innovative presentation.
- Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and portion control across all dishes.
- Monitor food cost, inventory, and wastage to maintain profitability.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and safety as per FSSAI norms.
- Coordinate with management for menu updates, event menus, and kitchen requirements.
- Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Conduct regular quality checks for ingredients and supplies.
- Ensure timely preparation and delivery of food orders during peak hours.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Chef (with at least 2 years in a Head Chef or Senior Chef role).
- Expertise in Chinese and South Indian food preparation and menu planning.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment, modern cooking techniques, and food safety standards.
