Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior QA Automation Tester with strong hands-on experience in Cypress to design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks. The ideal candidate will work closely with developers, product managers, and QA teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software through automated and manual testing practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using Cypress for web applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define testing strategies and ensure product quality.
  • Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and smoke testing for various releases.
  • Review and enhance existing automation frameworks for scalability and reliability.
  • Identify, document, and track defects and work closely with developers for resolution.
  • Conduct code reviews for test scripts and mentor junior QA engineers.
  • Contribute to test planning, test case design, and test data management.
  • Work in Agile/Scrum environments and actively participate in sprint ceremonies.
  • Maintain detailed test documentation and reporting metrics for quality assurance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science
  • 5-8 years of total experience in Quality Assurance and Test Automation.
  • Mandatory hands-on experience in Cypress for at least 3+ years.
  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript for scripting Cypress tests.
  • Experience with API testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or Cypress API commands.
  • Solid understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and STLC.
  • Experience with version control tools (Git, Bitbucket).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps).
  • Experience in cross-browser testing and responsive UI validation.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Good to Have:

  • Experience with Playwright, Selenium, or TestCafe.
  • Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, k6).
  • Experience in cloud-based test execution (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs).
  • Exposure to BDD frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow).
  • Knowledge of API mocking and service virtualization.
