Piersoft Technologies is seeking a skilled Automation QA Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks that ensure the quality, performance, and reliability of our software applications. In this role, you will collaborate closely with developers and project teams to define test strategies, automate test cases, and drive continuous quality improvements across releases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for web, mobile, and API testing.
  • Work closely with developers, business analysts, and QA teams to understand requirements and define test strategies.
  • Perform functional, regression, smoke, and integration testing.
  • Identify, log, and track bugs using standard issue-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
  • Implement continuous testing as part of the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Maintain and enhance the existing automation framework (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
  • Generate detailed test reports and communicate results effectively.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in automation testing.
  • Strong proficiency in at least one automation tool/framework (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, TestNG, JUnit, etc.).
  • Solid programming/scripting skills in Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.
  • Experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and test automation best practices.
  • Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (BTech/BE preferred).
