Job Title: Backend Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs using C# and .NET Core.
  • Develop secure, scalable, and high-performance application components for the ITS Platform.
  • Integrate with internal and external data sources, ensuring efficient and reliable data flows.
  • Create and optimize database schemas, queries, and stored procedures.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
  • Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and QA teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and planning sessions.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues across environments.
  • Contribute to continuous integration and deployment pipelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong proficiency in C# and .NET Core development.
  • Hands-on experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Solid understanding of relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or similar).
  • Experience with writing efficient queries, indexing, and database optimization.
  • Understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Ability to work collaboratively in an agile, fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience with microservices architecture.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP).
  • Knowledge of messaging systems or event-driven architecture.
  • Exposure to CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.).
  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
