About the Role

We are looking for a
Senior Java Backend Engineer
with proven experience in
Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and AWS
, and with exposure to or willingness to work on
enterprise CMS platforms
. You will be responsible for building
scalable, cloud-native backend systems
while integrating with CMS solutions to deliver high-performance, content-driven digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Backend Engineering

• Design, develop, and optimize scalable
  Java backend services
  using
  Spring Boot, Microservices, and APIs (REST/GraphQL)
  .
• Build
  cloud-native solutions
  deployed on
  AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Route53)
  .
• Implement and maintain
  CI/CD pipelines
  using
  Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, GitHub Actions
  .
• Ensure high availability, uptime, and performance of backend systems through effective
  troubleshooting, monitoring, and logging
  .

CMS Integration & Content Engineering

• Integrate backend services with
  enterprise CMS platforms
  (Adobe AEM, Sitecore, Contentstack, Contentful, Magnolia, ).
• Design and maintain
  structured content models, reusable components, and workflows
  aligned with business needs.
• Enable
  multi-channel publishing
  (web, mobile, OTT, apps) using APIs, webhooks, and server-driven UI approaches.
• Enforce
  CMS governance standards
  including naming conventions, version control, and workflow rules.

Cloud & DevOps

• Work with
  containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes)
  to ensure scalability and portability.
• Optimize deployments with
  Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible)
  .
• Use monitoring and observability tools (
  Splunk, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana
  ) to ensure reliability.

Collaboration & Best Practices

• Collaborate with
  design, content, and product teams
  to align backend and CMS solutions with business goals.
• Follow and enforce
  SOLID principles, design patterns, and engineering best practices
  .
• Participate in
  code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical documentation
  .
• Work in an
  Agile/Scrum environment
  with sprint-based delivery.

Required Skills

• Strong expertise in
  Java, Spring Boot, Microservices architecture
  .
• Hands-on experience with
  AWS Cloud services
  (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Route53).
• Proficiency in
  REST/GraphQL APIs, backend integrations, publishing workflows
  .
• Containerization & orchestration:
  Docker, Kubernetes
  .
• CI/CD pipelines:
  Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, GitHub Actions
  .
• Databases:
  SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL, RDS)
  and
  NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB)
  .
• Exposure to
  CMS platforms (AEM, Sitecore, Contentstack, Contentful, Magnolia, )
  — OR strong interest in learning them.
• Strong troubleshooting skills using tools like
  Splunk, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana
  .
• Knowledge of
  Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
  and
  software engineering best practices
  .

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Prior hands-on experience with
  enterprise-grade CMS platforms
  .
• Knowledge of
  event-driven architectures, Kafka, or streaming pipelines
  .
• Familiarity with
  DevSecOps practices
  (security in CI/CD pipelines).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in
  Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  (or equivalent experience).
• 6 years of backend development experience
  with Java, APIs, microservices, and cloud deployments.
• Proven ability to work in
  cross-functional, global teams
  and deliver scalable digital solutions.
