About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Legal Counsel to join our fast-growing IT company. This role will be responsible for overseeing legal matters related to IT projects, ensuring regulatory compliance, and protecting the company's interests through effective legal risk management.

Job Title: Legal Counsel

Location: Remote
Work Schedule: 5 Days Working
Experience Required: 5+ Years
Salary: Open (Based on Experience and Skills)

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of IT contracts, including software development agreements, service level agreements (SLAs), license agreements, vendor agreements, and SaaS/cloud contracts.

  • Handle Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs), and other commercial contracts.

  • Provide legal guidance and support during the bidding and execution of IT projects, including government and private sector tenders.

  • Advise on legal risks, business strategies, and other issues related to the company's operations and partnerships.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as the business, sales, procurement, and compliance teams.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant data protection laws (e.g., GDPR, IT Act) and cybersecurity regulations.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of company policies and procedures.

  • Handle legal notices, disputes, and liaise with external legal counsel if needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized institution. LLM is a plus.

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in an IT or technology-driven organization.

  • Strong experience in drafting and negotiating IT-related contracts.

  • Familiarity with intellectual property, data protection, and cybersecurity laws.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
