Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and organized HR Generalist to join our team at our Kolkata office. The ideal candidate will have 24 years of relevant experience, strong expertise in managing large-scale payroll employees), and a solid understanding of core HR functions. You will be responsible for overseeing efficient payroll processing, handling employee queries, and ensuring HR activities are compliant and streamlined.

Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-end payroll management for more than 1,000 employees, ensuring accuracy, statutory compliance, and timely processing.
  • HR operations: onboarding, induction, confirmation, transfers, exits, updating HRMS and employee records.
  • Prepare HR MIS reports, support audits, and maintain HR documentation.
  • Manage statutory compliance related to payroll and labor laws, including timely statutory returns.
  • Address and resolve payroll, employee query, and HR-related grievances.
  • Collaborate with internal teams for HR policy implementation and process improvements.
  • Vendor management: coordinate with recruitment/HR vendors for services, contracts, compliance, and performance.
  • Generate HR letters (appointment, offer, increment, relieving, etc.) using templates for standardization.
  • Utilize Applicant Tracking System (ATS) for recruitment managementresume screening, interview scheduling, and candidate communication.
  • Maintain and use advanced Excel and Google Sheets for data management, reporting, and automations.
  • (Plus point) Experience working with HRMS/payroll software.

Required Skills:

  • Advanced Excel: Practical experience with formulas, functions (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.), and reporting.
  • Google Sheets: Data tracking, collaboration, documentation, and reporting in a cloud environment.
  • Letter Generation: Proficient at generating bulk and individual HR letters from standard templates.
  • Vendor Management: Managing external vendors for HR/recruitment.
  • Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS): Hands-on experience in recruitment workflow management.
  • HRMS: Experience with HRMS/payroll is a strong plus.

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Graduate (any stream); HR specialization preferred.
  • Experience in payroll processing for 1,000+ employees.
  • Well-versed in relevant statutory laws/regulations (EPF, ESI, PT, TDS).
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • High integrity, confidentiality, and a strong team player.
  • Immediate joiners or up to 30-day notice period.
