The Speciality Chemicals Sales Executive is responsible for promoting and selling specialty chemicals used in water & wastewater treatment, industrial processes, or other niche applications. The role involves developing new business, maintaining relationships with existing customers, achieving sales targets, and providing technical support to clients.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Business Development
Identify and develop new business opportunities in targeted industry segments (e.g., STP, ETP, RO, HVAC, WTP, UF & RO plant process industries, hospitality, food & beverage, pharma, etc.).
Achieve monthly and annual sales targets as defined by management.
Generate leads through field visits, references, and digital channels.
Prepare and deliver sales presentations, technical proposals, and quotations.
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and close sales deals.
2. Customer Relationship Management
Maintain long-term relationships with existing customers and ensure regular follow-up for repeat orders.
Conduct periodic client meetings to assess satisfaction and explore new requirements.
Coordinate with technical and service teams for product trials, demonstrations, and troubleshooting support.
3. Technical Support & Product Knowledge
Understand the chemistry and application of various specialty chemicals such as coagulants, flocculants, biocides, antiscalants, RO chemicals, etc.
Conduct jar tests or basic product performance evaluations at client sites.
Keep updated on product developments, competitor offerings, and market trends.
4. Reporting & Coordination
Submit daily/weekly visit reports and maintain CRM data.
Work closely with internal departments (technical, logistics, accounts) to ensure timely delivery and invoicing.
Participate in marketing campaigns, exhibitions, and seminars as needed.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Good understanding of chemical applications in industrial and environmental processes.
Negotiation and relationship-building ability.
Self-motivated, target-oriented, and capable of working independently.
Basic proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Familiarity with ERP/CRM systems (preferred).
Qualifications
Education: B.Sc / M.Sc in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or Diploma/B.E. in Chemical/Environmental Engineering.
Experience: 1–5 years in sales of water treatment or specialty chemicals (preferred).
License: Must hold a valid Two wheeler driving license for field visits.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹20, ₹25,000.00 per month
