JOB Description :

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Head – Methods Engineering to lead our process planning and manufacturing methods team. The ideal candidate will be a Mechanical Engineering graduate with over 20 years of experience in the Defence manufacturing industry, possessing deep expertise in process planning and route card management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Methods Engineering team to ensure efficient and accurate process planning.
  • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to improve productivity, cost efficiency, and product quality.
  • Oversee preparation, validation, and management of route cards, process sheets, and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure accurate and timely process cost estimation for components and assemblies.
  • Coordinate with design, production, and quality teams to ensure manufacturability and compliance with Defence industry standards.
  • Support estimation activities for new projects and tenders (estimation knowledge is a plus).
  • Evaluate and implement new manufacturing techniques and technologies.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
  • Ensure adherence to Defence manufacturing requirements and regulatory standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory).
  • 20+ years of experience in Methods / Process Engineering within the Defence manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of process planning, tooling, and route card management.
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities.
  • Estimation knowledge for project costing and bidding is an added advantage.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
