Responsibilities:


• Design automation principles for creation of edge compute and application deployment to edge infrastructure


• Implement strategies like intelligent caching, traffic steering, and edge routing to minimize latency and improve performance


• Collaborate with security teams to enforce policies for DDoS protection, bot mitigation, and secure TLS termination


• Develop monitoring and alerting systems to track latency, traffic, and system health, including real-time and historical analysis.


• Lead incident response efforts, including root cause analysis and blameless post-mortems.


• Partner with application, network, security, and platform teams to ensure edge architecture aligns with core systems.


• Lead initiatives to automate day to day operational tasks and reduce toil


• Engage with Platform Engineering, Application, Segment, and Market teams to coordinate edge operations with business objectives.


• Develop tools, dashboards, and data pipelines to monitor and analyze service performance and identify bottlenecks.


• Champion and establish KPIs to measure the success of the edge practice and ensure adherence to best practices for reliability and scalability.

Skills/Qualifications:


• Strong knowledge of , Networking, Hardware, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform).


• Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, New Relics).


• Experience with driving/leading automation initiative to reduce toil and improve efficiency.


• Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.


• Deep understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, BGP, DNS, and experience in carrier-grade environments.


• Demonstrable background in guiding Operations/SRE team within a sophisticated multinational corporation.


• Strong knowledge and experience with GCP and/or AWS cloud Infrastructure
