A reputed Electrical equipment manufacturing company in Mumbai looking to recruit Manager Quality

Job Responsibilities

·       Establish, implement, and maintain quality standards, procedures, and systems in line with IS/IEC/Customer requirements.

·       Ensure inspection and testing of raw materials, in-process components, and finished transformers.

·       Approve Quality Assurance Plans (QAPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs).

·       Ensure calibration of all measuring and testing instruments as per schedule.

·       Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and other statutory/regulatory standards.

·       Interface with external agencies, certification bodies, and customers during audits and inspections.

·       Prepare, review, and maintain quality documentation and records.

·       Monitor and analyze defects, failures, and rejection trends; implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

·       Lead initiatives for continuous improvement (Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma techniques where applicable).

·       Drive root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues and implement permanent solutions.

·       Develop and evaluate vendors/suppliers for raw materials, components, and accessories.

·       Conduct supplier audits, quality performance evaluations, and improvement plans.

·       Ensure adherence to purchase specifications and quality requirements.

·       Address customer complaints related to transformer quality and ensure effective resolution.

·       Conduct pre-dispatch inspections (PDI) and ensure customer satisfaction.

·       Support after-sales/service teams in analyzing field failures and quality feedback.

·       Lead, mentor, and train the quality team (engineers, inspectors, and technicians).

·       Allocate responsibilities and monitor team performance against defined KPIs.

·       Build a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement across the organization.

·       Prepare and present monthly quality reports to senior management.

·       Track key quality metrics such as rejection rate, rework cost, warranty claims, and customer satisfaction index.

·       Recommend and justify investments in new quality tools, equipment, and systems.
