We are seeking an experienced Senior Release Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in optimizing release management processes, particularly within environments leveraging DevOps CI/CD, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software deployments seamlessly.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and refine release processes aligned with organizational objectives, integrating them with DevOps CI/CD pipelines
  • Collaborate with development, testing, and operations teams to ensure the delivery of software products is smooth and on schedule
  • Plan, schedule, and execute release activities while defining clear scopes for each deployment
  • Identify and address risks in the release process to mitigate potential impacts on deployment timelines or quality
  • Maintain thorough documentation for release procedures, dependencies, and notifications to ensure audit compliance
  • Evaluate and enhance release management strategies continuously to improve productivity and minimize errors
  • Conduct release readiness assessments, milestone reviews, and business go/no-go decision-making meetings
  • Offer mentorship and support to junior team members while fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation

Requirements

  • Background in release management, software engineering, or DevOps with 15-17 years of experience in related roles
  • Familiarity with DevOps CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps
  • Expertise in configuration management and deployment tools, including Ansible, Chef, Puppet
  • Competency in monitoring tools such as Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies blended with waterfall practices for release management
  • Capability to manage cross-functional team dynamics and stakeholder communications effectively
  • Showcase of analytical skills to identify process improvements and eliminate inefficiencies
  • Flexibility to use multiple ticketing systems and project management tools like Jira, Trello, Rally
  • English level of minimum B2 (Upper-Intermediate) for effective communication
  • Looking for joiners: immediate to 30 days only

  • Expertise in AWS and CircleCI
  • Familiarity with Terraform Cloud and Kubernetes
  • Understanding of CI and CD pipeline optimization strategies
