Description

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Part of international teams in the Design/Build/Test/Run phases of customer projects from various industries and business domains.

Business Analyst, Fuel Retail & Mobile Payments India System Design & API Integration June Oct 2020 Designed REST APIs and JSON payloads for transaction flows including pre-auth, fuel enablement, payment, and cancellations with robust error handling; deployed across 300+ fuel stations. Delivered ISO 8583 updates and API support for fleet card and loyalty integrations in the mobile app, covering ~5% of total transactions and ensuring compliance with retail site payment flows. Worked on functional designs for fleet card acceptance at POS, covering acceptance rules and card restrictions for multi-country rollouts. Product Ownership & Delivery Onboarded 5+ fuel POS vendors (EU/Asia) and mobile backend teams (US, Malaysia) to the mobile payment solution; led functional walkthroughs to align designs and clarify requirements. Owned full API lifecycle: from functional design (error handling, schema, flow diagrams) to interface validation via Postman and UAT support. Served as backlog owner for Shell's orchestration platform, driving prioritization and coordinating delivery with outsourced dev teams. Global Rollout & Optimization Unified region-specific API designs into a global model during Azure migration, accelerating time-to-market for new country launches. Introduced JSON schema validations and reference docs to cut payload exceptions and ease onboarding. Delivered tactical design workarounds to enable on-time mobile loyalty program launch amid vendor delivery delays.
