We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Proposal Writer to support our US Federal Government proposal efforts. The ideal candidate will have prior experience preparing, writing, and editing responses to RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs for federal agencies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including recruiters, business development managers, and subject matter experts to produce compliant, compelling, and well-structured proposal documents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write, edit, and format high-quality proposals, RFIs, and RFP responses for US Federal and State Government clients.
  • Support senior proposal managers in collecting and organizing content from subject matter experts, project teams, and business leaders.
  • Develop and maintain proposal templates, standard sections, resumes, and past performance libraries for reusability.
  • Ensure all proposal content aligns with solicitation requirements, evaluation criteria, and compliance guidelines (FAR/DFAR knowledge preferred).
  • Conduct background research on clients, competitors, and industry trends to strengthen proposal strategy.
  • Format and organize proposal documents, including resumes, capability statements, and corporate overviews.
  • Manage version control, ensure timely updates, and adhere to submission deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in English, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2 - 5 years of experience in proposal writing, preferably for US Federal Government contracts.
  • Strong understanding of RFP/RFI processes and compliance with FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to write persuasively and clearly.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Adobe Acrobat; familiarity with proposal management tools is a plus.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with government portals , GovWin, FPDS, etc.).
  • Experience working with IT staffing or technology service-based proposals.

Preferred Location

Candidates must be based in North India, preferably from one of the following states:

Delhi NCR, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, or Chandigarh.
