Job Description – Sales Representative (Gems & Jewellery Industry)

Job Title: Sales Representative

Department: Sales & Marketing

Reporting To: Sales Manager / Regional Manager

Job Purpose:

To promote and sell the company's gems and jewellery products, maintain customer relationships, achieve sales targets, and expand market reach while ensuring high customer satisfaction and brand representation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales & Customer Acquisition

  • Identify potential clients, walk-ins, and B2B buyers.

  • Promote and sell jewellery products as per company guidelines.

  • Achieve individual and team sales targets consistently.

  • Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and repeat customers.
  • Address customer queries, provide product knowledge, and offer solutions.

  • Follow up on leads, orders, and post-sale support.

  • Product Knowledge & Demonstration

  • Maintain thorough knowledge of gold, diamonds, gemstones, and jewellery designs.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and show clients relevant collections.

  • Assist customers in understanding certifications, purity, and pricing.

  • Reporting & Coordination

  • Maintain daily/weekly sales reports and client feedback.
  • Coordinate with back office, merchandising, and accounts teams for smooth order processing.

  • Report market trends, competitor activity, and customer preferences to management.

  • Brand Promotion & Market Expansion

  • Represent the company professionally at exhibitions, trade fairs, and events.
  • Suggest strategies for increasing market penetration and brand visibility.
  • Identify new market opportunities and potential business leads.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Graduate / Diploma in any relevant field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in sales in gems, jewellery, or luxury products preferred.
  • Excellent communication, persuasion, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong product knowledge of jewellery items.
  • Target-oriented, self-motivated, and disciplined.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20, ₹25,000.00 per month
