Job Title: Quality ManagementPurpose of the role Compliance with Global Financial Crime Procedures to ensure that all employees (new or existing) meet the Group's high standards of personal integrity and so minimize the risk of internal criminal activity or the leakage of confidential data.This function will provide global exposure to internal party including Procurement, Risk Steward, Second Line of Defense, Third Party Management and various of risk function. Support the business entailing a high degree of financial, regulatory, compliance and reputational risk, particularly with respect to risks arising out of non-compliance with extensive and complex policies/ regulations;Assist in developing policies and procedures for Employee Vetting;Manage quality investigation reports for Employee Vetting to meet established standards in the Service Level Agreement; Work with the Head of Global Vetting Operations support GSC to create a benchmark on quality, training & employee engagement.Performs job performance evaluations and human resources management for assigned direct reports/ virtual teams where applicable;Identifies and provides technical/ risk/regulatory training to direct reports and other members of the team;Establishes and maintains relationship with the Manager SPOC/ Site leads /VPOs to drive employee development/engagementIn this role, you will:Design, review and monitor the Training Plan with learning targets to make sure an on-track learning progress;Plan, review and implement an effective training curriculum/material;Schedule, deliver Induction / Technical Training to new hire staff;Identify and implement the training opportunities (e.g. refreshment training, workshop, external vendor training) basis the observations on requirements from Employee Vetting Operations to drive for continuous quality improvementAdhere to the Quality Assurance standards defined in the QA SOP.Work with the managers to ensure the quality targets of the process is met and provide inputs when there are process specific requirements.Perform quality checks through risk based sampling covering variety of cases handled by the staff. Track, measure and report quality on a periodic basis in a standard format.Support refresher trainings through error trend analysis and contribute towards overall improvement of Vetting Quality.Perform check the checker through New Joiner/Cross skill staff to work on at least 2 or more entitiesGovern the Quality of Vetting and ensure a robust Quality Framework in place that meets business and regulatory requirements;Analyze errors/complaints and identify effective solutions to address process weaknesses;Collect MI / business data as per request to key stakeholders (e.g. BP, Management Team, Production Teams, Peers);Adherence to data quality and ensure that timely submissions are made every time and the reports are of high accuracy.Utilize Soteria for QA tracking and aim to do away with manual tracking.Analyze errors/ misses and address them effectively and use every opportunity to advise on how to resolve/avoid recurrence of issues.Perform the root cause analysis for repeated errors within the team. Adopt high standards of Quality and brain storm on the items handled in team for understanding the areas of ambiguity and improvements.Highlight data quality issues in Soteria and drive improvement in usage of the case management tool.Calibration with operation and regional teams Maintains current knowledge of business and technological changes as well as pertinent internal and regulatory policy and procedural changes to ensure audit integrity and service quality;Effectively cascade any process related communication like changes, updates etc. to the whole team and ensure adherence.Identify and suggest ideas for Vetting process improvements and support improvement of the overall operating efficiency in Vetting.Use Idea Hub to track process improvement suggestions and their implementation. Share best practice and learning points across other teams and GSC sites.Keep oneself current & updated about all relevant regulations and procedures by following the news on Credit Risk in general and RetailCredit risk in particular and sharing the same with team members.Maintain internal control standards (Clear desk, Control test, Health check; AB&C; Fraud; Credit; AML; Phishing; Data Protection and Leakage, Mandatory training etc.);To be successful you will:At least 2-3 years proven experience in vetting process, compliance services, testing, and/or audit experience or equivalent. Experience in training and quality assurance is preferable.Understanding of banking financial and non-financial risks, including credit risk, and the aptitude to learn about new and emerging risk types.Have good interpersonal communication and presentation skill.Project and/or change management skills is advantageous.Ability to exercise discretion, work independently toward stakeholder, complete assignments timely and facilitate any audit review.Data analytics skill, strategic thinking, learning agility.You'll achieve more at HSBC HSBC is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a culture where all employees are valued, respected and opinions count.
