RequirementsKey Responsibilities:
  • HR Strategy & Execution: Partner closely with senior retail leadership to design and implement HR strategies that align with business goals, including workforce planning, talent management, and succession planning.
  • Talent Acquisition & Management: Lead recruitment strategies for retail talent at all levels, including volume hiring, leadership pipelines, and frontline workforce planning. Ensure effective onboarding, retention, and internal mobility processes are in place.
  • Employee Relations & Engagement: Serve as a trusted point of contact for retail employees, proactively resolving issues, promoting a positive work culture, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies. Lead initiatives to enhance employee engagement, including recognition programs, pulse surveys, and feedback mechanisms.
  • Performance Management: Drive robust performance management processes within retail, including goal setting, coaching, feedback, and performance reviews. Partner with business leaders to address performance challenges and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • HR Operations & Compliance: Ensure HR policies and procedures are effectively communicated and implemented in retail operations. Oversee time and attendance, leave management, disciplinary actions, and compliance with local and national labor regulations.
  • Learning & Development: Collaborate with learning teams to identify skills gaps in retail roles and implement training programs to enhance competencies in customer service, sales excellence, and leadership development.
  • Diversity & Inclusion: Champion diversity and inclusion initiatives across the retail network, ensuring equitable practices in recruitment, development, and employee relations.
  • Change Management: Support the retail business through transformation initiatives, including restructuring, new store openings, and technology implementations. Ensure smooth transitions by managing communication plans, training, and support.
Key Skills & Competencies:
  • Proven HR leadership experience in retail or consumer-driven sectors, with a deep understanding of frontline workforce dynamics.
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to align HR initiatives to commercial objectives.
  • Expertise in employee relations, talent management, compliance, and HR operations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders.
  • Demonstrated success in driving engagement, performance management, and change initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws, HR policies, and best practices in multi-location retail settings.
  • Proficiency with HR systems and tools (e.g., SAP HR, Workday, SuccessFactors) is an advantage.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of HR practice.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is preferred.
  • 13-18 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior HRBP or HR leadership role within a retail organization.
