Chief Business Development Officer (CBDO)

Position Summary

The Chief Business Development Officer (CBDO) is responsible for driving the overall business growth of Mayom Hospital by expanding corporate, cash, and government panel business; strengthening referral networks; enhancing hospital visibility; and implementing strategies to increase OPD, IPD, diagnostics, and surgical volumes. The role involves strategic planning, corporate relationship management, empanelments, and revenue maximization under the guidance of the CEO and hospital management.

Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Business Growth

  • Develop and implement business strategies to increase OPD, IPD, emergency, diagnostic, surgery, and package-based revenues.
  • Design business plans for quarterly and annual revenue targets.

2. Corporate Business Development

  • Acquire new corporate tie-ups with companies, industries, schools, and organizations.
  • Re-engage inactive corporates and ensure steady patient flow from existing partners.
  • Coordinate corporate health check-ups, wellness programs, medical camps, and employee health initiatives.

3. Government & Insurance Panel Development

  • Lead empanelment initiatives with
    CGHS, ECHS, PSU companies, Ayushman Bharat, ESIC
    , and other government agencies.
  • Strengthen relationships with TPAs, insurance companies, and government health authorities.
  • Ensure smooth onboarding and implementation of new panels.

4. Referral Network Expansion

  • Build and manage strong relationships with referring doctors, clinics, diagnostic centers, and regional OPD coordinators.
  • Develop loyalty programs, tracking mechanisms, and transparent communication channels.

5. Revenue Optimization

  • Track and analyze patient flow, conversion ratios, and market trends.
  • Identify high-value specialties and growth opportunities (ENT, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, IVF, Oncology, etc.).
  • Work closely with clinical heads to promote specialty services and high-value procedures.

6. Marketing & Branding Support

  • Guide marketing campaigns for digital outreach, social media branding, corporate presentations, and community programs.
  • Strategize visibility initiatives such as public health talks, CME programs, camps, and collaborations.

7. Stakeholder Coordination

  • Collaborate with Operations, Finance, Billing, Nursing, and Quality departments to ensure smooth execution of business activities.
  • Work with the Accounts/TPA team to expedite approvals, clearances, and revenue realization.

8. Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Present weekly and monthly MIS reports:
  • Corporate billing
  • Panel billing
  • Revenue growth
  • Referral performance
  • Conversion tracking
  • Analyze gaps and recommend corrective strategies.

9. Patient-Centric Business Practices

  • Ensure high service quality for corporate and panel patients.
  • Resolve business-related patient issues promptly to maintain goodwill and patient satisfaction.

10. Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead and guide the marketing and business development team.
  • Set KPIs, assign targets, evaluate performance, and train team members.

Qualifications & Experience

  • MBA/PGDM in Healthcare Management, Hospital Administration, or Marketing.
  • 8–15 years of progressive experience in
    hospital business development
    , corporate tie-ups, and panel management especially in Gurgaon Manesar Haryana NCR
  • Strong connections with corporate HRs, TPAs, and government health agencies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
