About the Role

We are seeking an experienced
Procurement Head
to lead end-to-end procurement operations across our mining and construction projects. The ideal candidate will have deep industry knowledge, strong vendor management experience, and the ability to drive cost-effective procurement strategies without compromising quality or timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for mining equipment, construction materials, machinery, spare parts, and services.
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers and contractors.
  • Lead negotiations to secure competitive pricing, quality standards, and timely deliveries.
  • Oversee tendering, RFQs, contract finalization, and commercial terms.
  • Coordinate closely with project, operations, engineering, and finance teams to forecast material and equipment requirements.
  • Ensure timely procurement aligned with project schedules across multiple sites.
  • Monitor inventory, logistics, and material dispatch to avoid shortages or delays.
  • Track and optimize overall procurement cost through effective planning and vendor development.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards across all procurement activities.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the procurement team; prepare MIS and procurement dashboards.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / Supply Chain / Business (MBA preferred).
  • 10–20 years of experience in procurement within
    mining
    ,
    construction
    , or
    heavy equipment
    industries.
  • Strong knowledge of OB handling equipment, mining machinery, construction equipment, and consumables.
  • Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and commercial skills.
  • Working knowledge of ERP/Procurement systems.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills
