JOB DESCRIPTION

Rain Cements, a thirty-Nine-year-old company headquartered in Hyderabad and known for manufacturing and marketing Priya Cement, is seeking a qualified and experienced Officer Procurement for day to day procurement work activities at our Corporate Office and reporting to CGM- Procurement in Rain Cements Ltd, Plot No. 34, Rain Center, Srinagar Colony, Hyderabad

Role & responsibilities

  • Negotiate and purchase products from Concern vendors
  • Consumables for (Raw materials & packing materials) and Consumables for Engineering (Electrical, instrumentation and WHR).
  • Recommended protentional vendors, profitability and competition across platforms.
  • Coordinating with suppliers, factory person & logistics team regarding materials.
  • Developing and implementing purchasing strategies.
  • Ensuring that all purchased items meet the necessary safety and quality standards
  • Purchase & planning of import and local electronic components as per plan received from Purchase Head/Unit Head.
  • Maintained proper documentation of purchase order, invoices & payments. dispatch status, receiving status in factory and office locations
  • Assist with coordinating with different functional heads.
  • Examine domestic suppliers and keep up to date with potential changes that may affect the supply and demand for products and materials.
  • Negotiation with suppliers to ensure best price, payment terms & delivery terms, which ends up in huge savings in the company

Preferred candidate profile

  • Full time MBA PGDM in material management preferably from IIMs or from a reputed institute/university.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in major manufacturing Industry.
  • Aged between 30 to 40 years.
  • They play a pivotal role in creating a sustainable, scalable business overcoming common growing pains that eCommerce companies face due to rapid expansion.
  • Experience in cement industry is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of SAP and MS Project software is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fluency in Telugu and English.
