Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a GIS Developer located in Mumbai. The GIS Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing GIS applications. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing spatial data using mapping software, developing mapping applications and tools, managing a digital library of geographic maps, and performing data conversion and data manipulation. The GIS Developer will also collaborate with other teams to ensure the integration and optimization of GIS-related data within various projects.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in GIS software and tools such as ESRI ArcGIS, QGIS, and MapInfo
- Strong skills in data analysis, spatial analysis, and geospatial data management
- Experience in developing mapping applications and tools using programming languages like Python, JavaScript, or C#
- Familiarity with database management systems such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Oracle
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
- Bachelor's degree in Geography, Computer Science, Geospatial Sciences, or related field
- Experience in the education or healthcare industry is a plus
