
IT Security Pre-Sales Support Specialist

The primary responsibility of this role is to collaborate on IT security-related queries within the IT department, ensuring both pre-sales support and ongoing customer engagement. This position serves as a trusted resource for security and technology discussions, fostering knowledge-sharing across the IT team and advancing best practices in cybersecurity. The role will also support continuous learning and innovation in security protocols, ensuring that expertise remains adaptable in an evolving threat landscape.

Job OverviewKey Responsibilities
Serve as a key resource for IT security-related queries within the department, collaborating across teams to provide expertise.
Handle customer security requests, including RFP/RFI responses, security assessments, and contractual reviews, ensuring clear communication and proactive risk management.
Maintain a central knowledge repository, streamlining access to IT security-related information and documentation.
Leverage collective expertise, working with IT SMEs to fill knowledge gaps and refine security protocols.
Identify and engage the right specialists, fostering timely and informed responses for customer security needs.
Anticipate and address security compliance challenges, keeping stakeholders informed of ongoing mitigation efforts.
Facilitate customer engagement meetings, strengthening relationships through transparent communication.
Provide structured reports on IT security activities, ensuring continuous improvement in security processes.
Work closely with IT, security, legal, and sales teams, promoting integrated security solutions.
Apply real-world security concepts, demonstrating practical applications in business operations.
Evaluate security solutions, conducting thorough security reviews based on business risk profiles, ensuring adaptability to evolving needs.
Skills & Experience
Approximately 5 years of experience or equivalent expertise in IT Security.
Strong interest and practical experience in IT and Information Security.
Experience in pre-sales security support is beneficial but not required.
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to follow and refine structured processes.
Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to communicate assertively yet collaboratively.
Formal education or equivalent experience in IT Security, Information Security, or related fields.
Strong communication skills in English for professional collaboration (multilingual proficiency is a plus).
Familiarity with security frameworks, including ISO 27001, NIST, and HITRUST.
