Role & responsibilities
An Edelweiss Tokio (now Edelweiss Life Insurance) Direct Channel Relationship Manager primarily sells life insurance products directly to customers, acting as the main interface between the company and clients to provide customized financial solutions. Responsibilities include direct selling through appointments, achieving self-sourced sales targets, utilizing leads from call centers, performing financial needs analysis, coordinating policy issuance, and maintaining daily reports on sales and lead conversions.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct Sales: Sell customized insurance solutions to customers by making direct appointments and providing need-based selling.
Lead Generation & Conversion: Actively work on leads provided by call centers to generate revenue and achieve self-sourcing targets.
Client Interaction: Conduct financial needs analysis and provide personalized investment and insurance advice to meet customer goals.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, becoming their primary point of contact.
Sales Process Management: Manage the entire sales lifecycle, including rigorous follow-ups, coordinating medical formalities, and ensuring timely policy issuance.
Reporting & MIS: Daily update and maintain business reports, sales call logs (LMS), lead utilization, and conversion rates.
Candidate Profile:
Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in sales and marketing within the Banking, Insurance, or BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) domain is often required.
Qualifications: A graduate degree is generally a mandatory educational qualification.
Skills:
Strong expertise in selling BFSI products.
Proficiency in a need-based selling approach and financial needs analysis.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic understanding of lead management systems (LMS).
A proactive approach to self-sourcing and pipeline management.
Mandatory Requirements: A two-wheeler with a valid driving license is often a mandatory requirement for field-based roles.
