Reporting to: Area Sales Manager
About the Role
As a Sales Officer, you are the link between strategic sales direction and on-ground execution. You will ensure your territory/portfolio achieves its sales targets, maintains a healthy distribution network, and delivers strong market presence. This role demands high ownership, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to manage both distributor partnerships and retail execution with precision.
Duties and Responsibilities
Deliver sales, volume, and distribution targets within the assigned territory.
Identify, appoint, and manage distributors in line with company guidelines.
Work closely with distributor/retailer teams to ensure product availability and visibility.
Maintain strong retailer relationships to drive secondary sales.
Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and promotions, and adjust strategies accordingly.
Execute trade marketing and promotional campaigns in the territory.
Ensure timely collections and adherence to credit policies.
Track daily market coverage and ensure sales routes are optimised.
Prepare and submit detailed sales reports and market feedback.
Train and motivate distributor sales personnel to achieve set goals.
Conduct market audits to ensure compliance with brand standards.
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
2 to 4 years of sales experience in FMCG/ related B2C industry
Strong understanding of territory management and retail dynamics.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Proficiency in MS Excel and basic sales reporting tools.
Local language fluency and working knowledge of English.
