To lead and manage the overall manufacturing operations, ensuring seamless coordination between
Production, Stores, and Maintenance
functions. The role is responsible for optimizing plant performance, achieving production targets, ensuring equipment uptime, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

1.Production Management

  • Plan, direct, and monitor all production activities to achieve output, quality, and delivery targets (OTIF).
  • Implement lean manufacturing practices to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and enhance throughput.
  • Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), process controls, and quality standards.
  • Conduct daily production reviews to analyze variances and implement corrective actions.
  • Drive initiatives for productivity enhancement, manpower optimization, and capacity utilization.

2. Stores & Inventory Control

  • Oversee raw material, WIP, and finished goods inventory to ensure optimal stock levels.
  • Coordinate with Purchase and Planning teams for timely material availability.
  • Implement inventory management systems to minimize stockouts and excess holding.
  • Ensure accurate material accounting, stock audits, and FIFO compliance.

3. Maintenance Management

  • Supervise preventive and predictive maintenance programs to ensure zero breakdowns and high equipment uptime.
  • Develop maintenance schedules and monitor adherence to reduce machine downtime.
  • Coordinate with OEMs and vendors for spare parts, AMC, and technical support.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Engineering, or related field
  • Proven track record of success in leading and implementing operational improvements
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a leadership role within a fast-paced operations environment.

Knowledge and Skills Required :-

  • A high degree of technical knowledge balanced with creative ability and a hands-on approach.
  • Computer literacy like MS office, NAV, Business central.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing operations like – melding, machining etc
  • Knowledge of production processes/techniques and standards like APQP and PPAP.
  • Communication and customer-facing skills.
  • Having the good knowledge about 3S, 5S, CAPA, RCA (Root cause analysis), and ISO 9001:2015.
