About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead the entire academic, training, and placement functions of our vocational education center. The ideal candidate will drive academic excellence, manage faculty and trainers, ensure quality delivery of job-oriented courses (Data Science, AI/ML, Full-Stack Development, Cybersecurity, etc.), and build strong industry connections for student placements.

Key ResponsibilitiesAcademic Leadership

  • Lead and manage the academic coordination team, ensuring smooth curriculum planning, scheduling, and delivery.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of job-oriented courses aligned with industry requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to EICT IIT Guwahati guidelines, standards, and quality benchmarks.
  • Monitor student progress, learning outcomes, and implement interventions for academic support.

Faculty & Training Management

  • Lead, mentor, and evaluate technical faculty, communication trainers, and the training & development team.
  • Conduct Train-the-Trainer (TTT) programs to enhance teaching pedagogy, technical delivery, and communication skills.
  • Introduce innovative teaching methodologies, blended learning approaches, and hands-on labs.

Placement & Industry Connect

  • Guide and lead the Training & Placement (T&P) team to develop strong corporate relations.
  • Design and execute placement strategies, soft-skills training, mock interviews, and employability enhancement programs.
  • Collaborate with industry experts for guest lectures, workshops, internships, and placement drives.

Student Development

  • Oversee student training programs for communication, aptitude, and employability readiness.
  • Provide mentorship, career counselling, and progression pathways for learners.
  • Drive initiatives for holistic student development in technical and soft skills.

Administration & Strategy

  • Align academic and training strategies with the organizational vision and objectives.
  • Prepare academic calendars, progress reports, and performance metrics.
  • Liaise with IIT Guwahati EICT officials, ensuring compliance with MoU requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Master's or PhD in Computer Science/IT/Engineering/Management (preferred).
  • Minimum 8–12 years of experience in academic leadership, training, or corporate L&D.
  • Strong exposure to emerging technologies (AI/ML, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Full-Stack Development, Cloud, etc.).
  • Proven experience in managing academic teams, trainers, and placement functions.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and people management skills.
  • Strong industry network with demonstrated success in student placements is a plus.

Compensation

Competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience, along with performance-based incentives.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹700, ₹1,000,000.00 per year
