Location: South India (Bangalore-based, with multi-city travel)

Role Overview

As the General Manager – Operations for Loop Hostels, you will lead and scale hostel operations across South India. You'll be responsible for ensuring process consistency, service excellence, and profitability across multiple cities. This is a high-ownership leadership role that demands strategic thinking, operational depth, and strong people management — ideal for someone ready to move from cluster-level to regional operations leadership.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operations Excellence

  • Oversee end-to-end hostel operations across cities, ensuring SOP adherence and service quality.
  • Monitor key performance metrics like occupancy, NPS, cost efficiency, and turnaround time.
  • Drive audits, vendor performance, and maintenance standards across all units.

2. Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, and mentor city operations teams to achieve business goals.
  • Build a performance-driven culture with strong process discipline and team accountability.

3. Business & Financial Management

  • Own regional P&L, cost control, and operational profitability.
  • Analyze data and implement strategies to improve efficiency and reduce operational leakages.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Sales, Finance, and Customer Experience teams to ensure seamless guest experiences and operational alignment.
  • Work closely with leadership to standardize processes and scale best practices across new cities.

Educational Criteria

  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Operations, Business Management, or Engineering.
  • Desirable: MBA or management education in Operations/Service Management (not mandatory).
  • Focus: Practical operational experience and people leadership are valued over institute or CGPA.

Key Skills Required

  • Strong operational and process management skills across multi-city setups.
  • Hands-on leader with proven people management and mentoring experience.
  • Analytical and data-driven decision-making with basic P&L understanding.
  • Excellent communication, clarity in articulation, and problem-solving orientation.
  • Flexibility to travel and manage multiple city operations simultaneously.
