Hyatt Regency Chennai is a centrally located, modern 5-star business hotel, close to prime business districts, IT corridors, and the US consulate. The hotel features 325 contemporary rooms and extensive artwork by renowned Indian artists. Guests can enjoy traditional Indian cuisine at Spice Haat, Italian dishes at Focaccia, Chinese specialties at Stix, and relax at 365 A.S. lounge bar. The hotel also offers approximately 20,000 sq feet of banqueting space for events and functions.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Event Planning Manager located in Chennai. The Event Planning Manager will be responsible for organizing and supervising events at the hotel. Key tasks involve planning and managing events, coordinating with clients to understand their requirements, ensuring excellent customer service, and collaborating with sales and other hotel departments to ensure successful events. The role demands a hands-on approach to event management and requires working closely with both clients and internal teams to deliver memorable experiences.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication and Customer Service skills
- Proficient in Event Planning, menu designing and Management skills
- Experience and skills in upselling
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality management
- Previous experience in the hospitality industry in a similar role
