About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced WLAN Developer who is passionate about building and optimizing the software that powers Wi-Fi chipsets. In this role, you will work on low-level software including Linux kernel drivers and embedded firmware for Wi-Fi SoCs. You'll play a critical role in enabling high-performance wireless networking on next-generation devices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Linux kernel drivers for Wi-Fi chipsets.
  • Develop and debug embedded firmware for Wi-Fi SoCs using Embedded C.
  • Work with hostapd and wpa_supplicant to implement access point and client features.
  • Analyze and optimize Wi-Fi performance (throughput, latency, power consumption).
  • Port and integrate WLAN software to embedded platforms (ARM, MIPS, Qualcomm, Broadcom, Realtek, MediaTek, etc.).
  • Debug issues using tools like Wireshark, tcpdump, and kernel logging/debugging tools.
  • Collaborate with hardware, platform, and network teams to ensure stable and robust wireless connectivity.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong programming skills in C* and Embedded C*.
  • 3 to 7 years of hands-on experience in Linux kernel driver development.
  • Experience developing or debugging firmware for Wi-Fi chipsets.
  • In-depth knowledge of Wi-Fi protocols and IEEE standards n/ac/ax/be — Wi-Fi 4/5/6/7).
  • Experience with hostapd, wpa_supplicant, and wireless networking tools.
  • Familiarity with cross-compilation, OpenWrt, and embedded build systems.
  • Experience in performance tuning and power optimization for wireless systems.
  • Experience with ARM toolchains and debugging tools (debugfs, printk, etc.).

Preferred Experience (Nice to Have):

  • Experience working with Wi-Fi chipsets from Qualcomm Atheros, Broadcom, Realtek, or MediaTek.
  • Contributions to open-source wireless projects.
  • Exposure to networking stacks, QoS, or mesh networking.
  • Experience with kernel upstreaming is a plus.
