Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Tandoor Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking and a strong understanding of Indian cuisine, specifically tandoor dishes. As a Tandoor Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of tandoor dishes, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and ensuring the quality and consistency of all dishes.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and cook a variety of tandoor dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure the quality and consistency of all dishes by following proper cooking techniques and using fresh ingredients
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage and labeling of food items
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of tandoor ingredients and equipment
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service
- Train and supervise junior kitchen staff in tandoor cooking techniques and safety procedures
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and new tandoor cooking techniques
- Assist with menu development and recipe creation as needed
- Other duties as assigned by the Head Chef or management team

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Tandoor Chef or similar role
- Strong understanding of Indian cuisine and tandoor cooking techniques
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Good communication and leadership skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Degree or certification in culinary arts is preferred
