Role OverviewAs the Financial Controller, you will work directly with the CEO to manage financial operations for both our UK companies and international ventures.
This role is not for the ordinary—it's for someone who brings positivity, high energy, integrity, and a meticulous eye for detail, and who thrives on contributing to multiple businesses across different industries and geographies. You will oversee financial compliance, provide strategic insights, and collaborate with teams across the UK and India, ensuring the financial health of our operations while driving innovation and growth. Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Management:
- Oversee and prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow) for UK and international operations.
- Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards and international financial regulations.
- Manage UK payroll, VAT, and tax filings, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Monitor financial performance, identify variances, and provide actionable insights to support decision-making.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Develop and track budgets for the group's UK and international businesses.
- Create and present financial forecasts to assist in strategic planning.
- Build financial models to support new business initiatives and growth plans.
Audit and Compliance:
- Lead internal and external audits for UK and international operations.
- Maintain accurate financial records in line with audit and regulatory standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with the CEO and teams across health, telecoms, recruitment, and construction to align financial goals with business objectives.
- Collaborate with UK-based accountants, auditors, and advisors.
- Partner with Indian teams to ensure smooth financial operations and data integration.
Growth and Versatility:
- Provide financial insights and strategic advice to support the group's mission of empowering the Indian middle class.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.
- Experience:
- 5 years of experience in financial management, with expertise in UK accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Hands-on experience in payroll, VAT, and tax compliance for UK companies.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and advanced Excel.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to create financial models.
- Preferred:
- Experience in international finance or working with multinational companies.
- Familiarity with financial reporting tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
