Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented International Mobility Executive to join our Global Mobility team. This role is essential to supporting the smooth and compliant relocation, transfer, and expatriation of employees across international locations. You will manage end-to-end mobility processes and act as a liaison between assignees, internal stakeholders, and external partners to ensure a positive mobility experience and adherence to corporate mobility policies, international tax laws, and social security agreements.
Key Responsibilities:
Assignment Management:
- Coordinate international assignments, permanent transfers, and short-term mobility cases.
- Prepare assignment documentation, cost projections, and compensation packages.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees throughout their relocation journey.
Policy Compliance:
- Ensure mobility activities comply with internal policies, host/home country labor laws, and cross-border regulations.
- Support the development and consistent application of international mobility policies and guidelines.
Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination:
- Liaise with external service providers (immigration, tax, relocation, social security specialists) to ensure timely and accurate delivery of services.
- Partner with internal teams including HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Legal, and Finance to support mobility-related decisions and processes.
Immigration, Tax, and Social Security:
- Coordinate immigration processes including visa/work permit applications for inbound and outbound employees.
- Facilitate tax compliance processes including tax briefings, filings, and shadow payroll coordination.
Manage the end-to-end process of Social Security Agreements (SSAs) and Certificates of Coverage (CoC):
Identify applicability of SSAs for each assignment based on country pairing.
- Coordinate with tax or social security advisors and relevant authorities to obtain CoCs as required.
- Track expiration and renewal dates of CoCs to ensure continued compliance.
- Educate stakeholders and employees on the implications of SSAs and ensure correct treatment in payroll and benefits.
Data Management & Reporting:
- Maintain up-to-date records of all mobility cases, including SSA/CoC documentation and compliance milestones.
- Generate regular reports on assignment statuses, costs, and compliance metrics for internal reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3–6 years of relevant experience in international mobility or global HR operations.
- Solid understanding of global mobility, including immigration, tax, payroll, and social security compliance (SSA/CoC).
- Experience working with third-party mobility vendors and managing international assignments.
Key Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with employees and cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of international social security frameworks and bi-lateral agreements.
- Analytical and detail-oriented mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certification in Global Mobility is advantageous.
- Familiarity with SSA/CoC procedures and interactions with social security authorities.
- Prior experience in a multinational or matrixed organizational setup.
