Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
- Vendor Management
Development and commercial know-how of any of the 2 commodities - Casting, Sheet Metal & Forging components
Technically sound in Sheet Metal & Casting/Forging manufacturing processes
- New projects Tooling/Capex estimation
- Capacity evaluation of suppliers
- Floating RFQ, technical synthesis closures, DVP closures with suppliers/R&D
Should have good knowledge of vendor database
Quality Improvement
Capable enough to coordinate with the supplier and QA team for quality improvement
- Monitor Supplier performance to access ability to meet quality and delivery requirements
- Co-ordination with NPD quality team for sample//APQP/PPAP closures
- Buyer assessment for new suppliers
- Strong Negotiation with suppliers and ability to bring customer delight at every step and every action

Education Qualification
B.Tech (Mechanical)
General Experience
17 to 22 years of relevant work experience of Casting and atleast 2 of the commodities from Forging & SMF
Should have good relationship management with suppliers
Must have good Communication skills and Project co-ordination skills
Should be an excellent team player
Should have good interpersonal skills
Negotiation with supplier and ability to bring customer delight at every step and every action.
Result orientation, timely result achievement with excellent execution
Global mindset; ability to identify global opportunities to leverage them for business excellence
People Development, ability to facilitate people to excel in their area on work
Cost targets by means of strategies / VA-VE/ negotiations
Must have good command on SAP MM module and MS Office
