Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Project Manager to oversee our publishing projects for kindergarten through high school print and digital content. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful planning, execution, and delivery of our educational resources, ensuring they meet the highest quality standards and are completed within specified timelines and budget. You will work closely with various stakeholders, including writers, editors, designers, comp, design, art, and R&P to ensure seamless coordination and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

• Project Planning and Execution:
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to define project scope and objectives.
• Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring clarity and accountability.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and proactively implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure adherence to project budgets and resource allocation.
• Communication and Collaboration:
• Serve as the main point of contact for internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Cultivate effective communication and collaboration among team members.
• Conduct regular project status meetings and provide updates to stakeholders.
• Address any issues or conflicts that arise during the project lifecycle.
• Quality Assurance:
• Ensure all project deliverables meet the required quality standards.
• Review and provide feedback on content, design, and production elements.
• Conduct thorough quality checks to identify and resolve any errors or inconsistencies.
• Risk Management:
• Identify project risks and develop appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
• Monitor and manage potential risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Escalate critical issues to senior management, as needed.

Qualifications:

• Education and Experience:
• Masters' Degree
• Proven experience as a Project Manager, preferably in the educational publishing industry.
• Familiarity with the kindergarten through high school educational landscape is highly desirable.
• Project Management Skills:
• Strong project management skills, including planning, organizing, and prioritizing.
• Proficiency in project management tools and software.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Communication and Leadership:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
