A Freight Forwarding Import Sales job involves developing relationships with clients, identifying opportunities to sell import shipping services, creating and presenting customized solutions using air and ocean freight, negotiating contracts, and collaborating with internal logistics teams to ensure successful shipment execution and customer satisfaction.

*Key Responsibilities* :

- Business Development: Identify and pursue new clients and business opportunities for import freight services.

- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing customers.

- Sales & Quoting: Prepare and present detailed sales proposals, quotations, and solutions tailored to clients' import needs.

- Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and rates with clients and shipping carriers.

- Coordination & Execution: Collaborate with internal logistics and operations teams to ensure smooth execution of import shipments.

- Market Research: Conduct market research to identify opportunities, assess competition, and stay informed about industry trends.

- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all import activities comply with international trade regulations and customs procedures.

*Essential Skills & Qualifications* :

Sales & Negotiation: Proven track record in sales, with strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.

Logistics & Freight Forwarding Knowledge: Strong understanding of the freight forwarding industry, import processes, and international trade.

Customer Service: Ability to provide exceptional customer service and resolve issues promptly.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients and global partners.

Organization & Planning: Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple shipments, deadlines, and client requests.

Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues that may arise during the shipping process.

Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
