  • Manages, implements and maintains required EHS operational processes to ensure company and employee awareness, comprehension and adherence to approved environmental, health and safety practices.
  • Conducts oversight EHS and Quality inspections/audits of operations and subcontractors to ensure compliance to contract performance requirements and applicable EHS laws, regulations and standards.
  • Implements hazardous and environmental waste management programs to ensure compliance with contractual requirements and applicable laws, regulations and standards. Modifies applicable SOPs and processes as required.
  • Provides response to Customer concerns and findings. Tracks corrective actions taken in response to internal and Customer audit/inspection findings.
  • Provides guidance and direction to achieve compliance with all applicable safety and quality standards and requirements.
  • Acts as Safety Officer and EHS representative/liaison to the Customer.
  • Establishes, maintains and communicates program metrics related to injuries and incidents. Includes reporting and liaison with Program Management Office (PMO).
  • Maintain the accident/injury log such as the OSHA Form 300 or host nation equivalent for site operations.
  • Oversees injury and rolling stock incident investigations.
  • Ensures expedient injury and incident trend and causal analysis and reporting to Leadership, including recommendations to address identified issues.
  • Maintains awareness of regulatory changes and disseminates safety-related bulletins, technical changes and literature to work site personnel.
  • Maintains technical library.
  • Provides leadership training and knowledge transfer to staff members and teams as necessary.
  • Perform other qualified duties as assigned
